Painting with acrylics

  • Pick the colors you'd like to use for your project.
  • Pick the brushes.
  • Start painting.  Only one coat is needed, but some shades may need some extra love.
  • Rinse your used brushes between each color change. 
  • Check for white spots.
  • We use spray sealants to keep your art safe. Decide if you want shiny or matte spray.

care for your acrylics

  • Acrylic painted ceramics should be used decoratively and not functionally.
  • Acrylic should not be used on anything that will touch food, hold liquid, or go into a dishwasher.
  • Acrylics are not waterproof and shouldn't be placed outside or in weathering conditions.
  • Be gentle when handling your ceramics and avoid letting pieces bump against other pottery or objects to prevent chipping. 
  • Treat your pottery with the same love and care as fine art.
